Doctor Search Webapp

 

Objective

To create a doctor search where health plan member can find in-network doctors/facility based on location or speciality with ease by free text search or browsing by categories. 

 

Role

UX/Visual Design. Collaborated with Healthline's program manager, engineering team, sales as well as Aetna's internal design team and project owner to define UX flow, design UI system and create high fidelity design mockup that is aligned with Aetna's brand and visual language. Worked closely with UI engineer and Healthline's engineering team on the implementation and design QA.

 


 

Home page

Where user can initiate search by entering speciality keywords, doctor's name or hospital name into the search field. Alternatively, user can browse doctors categorized by speciality, condition, or procedure.

Search result

User wants to find a cardiologist. The search result pulls up a list of doctors near the user's location in a map view with location pins, as well as quick summary of specialities and contact information.

Filter menu

User may narrow down search results by selecting preference based on distance, language, gender, affiliation and participating programs.

 

Provider detail

Click on the doctor name to show detail panel where user can learn more about the doctor's practice, background, participating plans, and user can quickly switch to reviewing another doctor from the result list on the left.

 

Mobile phone experience

RWD scaled to mobile breakpoint. Spacing, text size, touch target size are optimized for touch navigation.

Outline of color palette, typography, button styles and states based on Aetna brand.
